Tony motta
Tony Motta is a Brazilian hairstylist and colorist whose outstanding abilities combine hair dressing, image and concept creation, innovating hair sculpturing and art projects. He is best known for his work that integrates arts and social experiences captivating people worldwide. He redefining the traditional method of hair styling and image creation to achieve successful results. Using his international experience and multiple techniques combined with his creative mind, he creates an atmosphere full of art and originality.
Tony’s work has been featured in fashion magazines, newspapers and television in Brazil for programs like Globo, Band, TV Gazeta, and Record. In addition to this, he has participated in international hairdressing fairs, fashion shows, events performance. He was also the featured main guest at hairdressing fairs for presentations at Hair Brazil. Tony has served as an artistic educator of some of the world’s foremost leading beauty brands Wella, Alfa-PARF, L'oreal, Matrix, Schwarzkopf and others that have utilized his creative insight and global experience to develop innovative and edgy art that speaks to beauty, image and emotions of people worldwide. He has received numerous national and international awards for his talent and expertise such as the Wella Trend Vision Awards where Tony earned 1st place in Brazil in 2004 out of 60.000 professional competitors. He also participated in the world championship of hairdressing 2004, representing Brazil in the premises of the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
From his award-winning work, Tony was invited to teach creative hair dressing techniques in Europe (Barcelona- Spain). He was professor of hairdressing and responsible for new trends in the Cazcarras School in Barcelona - Spain where he also worked as a freelancer for AFES - Catalan Photography Association performing numerous fashion jobs. Tony was invited to live and work in the US and has had his work recognized as an art and besides a special visa, was also awarded in 2017 (Portuguese Brazilian Award 2017) on Lincoln Center in NYC for inspiring professionals from the Brazilian and Portuguese community around the world.
